- How soon will my ads start running?
Ad campaigns go live 4 business days after we've received the graphics, the URL to link the ads to and your full payment.
- Are there frequency caps for the ad?
We currently offer 50,000 page impressions per month for $500 and 100,000 page impressions per month for $1000. It becomes too difficult to ensure more than 100,000 impressions per campaign.
- It says the ads will run across all the sites listed; is there anyway to restrict the ads to a single site?
We can restrict which sites the ads run on, either to one single site or several select sites - but then, of course, the number of page impressions will go down. And due to the extra time it takes to manage this - the price stays the same. You get fewer page impressions, but they are more targeted.
- Can we use multiple banners and test which banner gets the best click-through rate?
Yes. You can use several banner graphics and from the reports we supply, see which graphics are getting the most clicks. I will tell you, however, that it is not efficient to judge an ad campaign simply by the number of click throughs. Banner ads are not known for generating clicks, but are very good for brand recognition. We produce the most clicks from our text ads which are sprinkled throughout our newsletters. This service comes with our ad packages.
- What kind of stats does your reporting system provide? Impressions, Clicks, etc?
All of the above - broken down by the "creative" (banner name, text ad name, etc), the section (where the ads are showing), down to the day and even the hour.
- Can we do a test campaign of 1 or 2 months to see what kind of results we get?
Absolutely. You can purchase month to month ad space for as long or short a period as you'd like.
- It says in the 'Package' descriptions that we can use 468x60 or
125x125 or combo of both. But then right below that it mentions a
Half Skyscraper-- 180 x 220 pixels size. Can we use this size too?
That size is available if you'd like to use it. It only shows on the RV travel newsletter - which is the most popular of all our web pages - and we set that one up special per request.
- What are the file size limits for the ad?
No larger than 62kb in memory size - dimensions above.
.jpg or .gif files or animated .gifs. If you must use flash generated ads we can do that - but it takes some very specific steps and you need to let us to talk to your artist directly to make it work.
- What if we also wrote a professional editorial article for the
site, would you want to add it to your website? This would NOT be a
press release, but an editorial article.
We would LOVE that! Chuck, our chief editor, would want to take a look at it and give it the "ok" but we love writing about or having material supplied about our advertisers. We believe in our client's products - or we wouldn't put them on our sites ;)
- I've gone to your site but I don't see my ads. Where are they?
All ads are rotated with all other ads. If you are running the standard banner ad packages, simply refresh the page a few times and you will see your ad appear. Everytime someone comes to our site - they see a new set of ads - keeping them fresh and interesting.
