Shouting Match In RV Campground

Haven’t seen any Grosbeaks for a couple days, but a female Rose-breasted did finally show up. Here she is… These are good-sized birds and their presence at our feeder often sent most of the regulars (chipping sparrows, finches, titmice, chickadees) flying away. They did, however, have to squabble it out with the cardinals and brown-headed cowbirds, which are more their size. Here’s a Rose-breasted Grosbeak, perched on our RV ladder, telling a female Brown-headed Cowbird at the feeder that it’s time to move on!
