Fiver book

I've decided to write a book devoted to fifth wheels - The Fifth Wheel Bible. I know there are a lot of books about RVs and RVing, and there is useful information about fivers in many of them. But as I look back on my own experience, much of the information I needed didn't seem to be available in book form. I learned much more about buying, towing, parking and using fivers (not to mention tow vehicles) from the various RV forums and from the old school of hard knocks than I did from reading books.
The book is actually coming along nicely. I'll post here when it's available at RVBookstore.com, sometime early next year I hope. But I thought I'd ask you folks out there in cyber-land if you have any input. What have you learned that you'd have liked to have read about in advance? What would you like to share with future fifth wheelers? Feel free to post your ideas here.

Fifth Wh Suggestion #1:(Tank Wash) I have owned a (mid priced) fifth wh for about 3 yrs. One important thing that I have done and cost very little is: I bought a est 15-20 ft water hose and ran the exit end from my toliet area
thru a small hole in floor and the entrance end near the holding tank drop exit door. When I get ready to leave camping area to dump, I insert hose exit end down into toliet and generally shut lid to keep hose in place(you may even want to have a small hose section that can be kept seperate). When I arrive at dump station, I connect both my holding tank hose and also the water line hose (at dump station)to my new water line (located just above the holding tank exit door). This is almost as good as letting an rv tech put a similar feature thur wall of holding tank, but a lot cheaper..........Works great!!!
Fifth Wh suggestion #2 (Power Disc)
Also, install a circuit breaker or cut-off switch at the positive 12volt battery end in its compartment to completely shut the power off when rv is put away (I prefer the breaker). Some rv's (including mine) have power rocker switches mounted on outside of rv and children or others love to operate these when they shouldn't.........

What a great idea!!!! Now I'll have to grab a coffee and ponder all the dumb things I've done over the years. : ^ )
Fortunately they involved nothing catastrophic.
