Welcome to Military RVing

Military RVing is a site dedicated to help active duty and retired military families (including DOD employees and retirees) get the most enjoyment out of military "famcamps". Many of our famcamps are in disrepair and need help. MWR is happy to spend millions on golf courses but for some reason doesn't care about maintaining military RV campgrounds. More and more I see active duty military families using the famcamps as temporary living quarters while waiting to get into military housing. My wife and I are full time RVers and I retired from the Navy as a Chaplain in 2000. I hope to help point COs and MWR department heads in the right direction for maintaining and constructing new famcamps throughout the the USA. I also want to help get some needed training started for campground hosts and for MWR personnel as to how to properly manage these campgrounds. So I look forward to a future of interesting conversations and innovative ideas to help make our military famcamps top notch facilities not only for ourselves but for future generations to come.
