The Purple Double Decker Hits Quartzsite

They call it the Miscellaneous Mixup. Well, they're probably right. Take one large school bus, stack another smaller bus on top, and whatcha got? Well, the roadname says it all. The big purple has made yet another appearance in Quartzsite, Arizona in time for the big show season. If you're in the area, it's presently residing at the LaPosa North Long Term Visitor Area.

And "Missy" isn't alone. Every big motorhome has to have a toad, right? Check out the matching colored tagalong rig.

Meet the mini-est of Mini Motorhomes

Talk about mini-motorhomes! This one's like a dollhouse. But it's real. It's owned by Steve Pepper of the UK, who in 1997 founded an organization called The International Register of Microcaravans. In the photo, Steve poses with his Bedford Bambi. Cute, eh? This photo is from the book Home Away from Home.

Don't try driving this RV through tight corners

Wow! We don't think this would be a good RV for driving in city traffic, but maybe it was okay for the jungle, which is apparently where it was designed to travel. Notice the two observation chairs up top -- you'd feel like a king and queen up there, for sure. Thanks to Dave Williams for alerting us to this old advertisement. Those of you in the Los Angeles area can listen to Dave every weekday morning on KNX, 1070 Newsradio, where he is the host of the Southern California's Morning News.
