FROM CHUCK WOODBURY
editor, http://www.RVtraveler.com
Dear Reader,
Welcome to the 13th issue of the RV Traveler Newsletter,
brought to you by the websites and sponsors above. And a
special welcome to the 963 new subscribers since our
last issue two weeks ago.
I'd like to tell you a brief story about a famous American who
most people never knew was an RVer. During his life, he was
one of the best-known men in the world, and for perhaps a decade
the best known. With his RV, he and his wife could escape from the
masses and find solitude. The man, of course, was famed aviator
Charles Lindbergh. In the 1940s, Henry Ford learned that Lindbergh
was looking for a travel trailer. Although Lindbergh wanted to buy one,
Ford insisted he take one he had bought for a museum. It has since been
described as a "huge brown elephant" on wheels. A week later,
Lindbergh hooked up the trailer to his car and drove off. He and his
wife Anne traveled in it off-and-on for the next 15 years, a place where
Anne could write in peace. Today, the trailer is on display at the Henry Ford
Museum in Dearborn, Michigan.

WONDERFUL RESOURCE FOR RVing NORTH OF USA BORDER
This is an awesome website, a comprehensive resource for RVers
planning to travel to Northwest British Columbia, the Yukon,
Northwest Territories and Alaska. The information is based on ten
trips to the area. Maps show the location and basic info on
RV/campgrounds (private and public), every rest area with a toilet,
where to get gas, places of interest, road conditions, info centers, etc.
This website is awesome: http://www.karo-ent.com
A SURPRISE ABOUT HOW RVers TAKE PHOTOS
We conduct a short "Quizlet" on one or more of our websites
every week and the results from a recent one surprised us.
We asked: "Do you take most of your pictures with a film or
digital camera?" Of the 493 RVers who responded, nearly half
-- 49% -- use a digital camera. Forty-six percent use a film
camera and five percent said they do not take photos. We were
surprised that more RVers use a digital camera than a traditional
film model. See the results of other surveys at
http://www.NewRVer.com/quizlet.html
