EDITOR'S CORNER

By Chuck Woodbury
editor, RV Travel

Dear reader,
First, an apology if last week's issue of this
newsletter arrived as a nearly blank document with
a request to confirm or otherwise modify your
subscription. We sent the newsletter as usual, but
a technical glitch derailed the contents of many
newsletters along the way. We received hundreds of
emails from readers alerting us of the problem and
asking for another copy. For those of you who didn't
receive the issue, it can be read here.

Some readers unsubscribed, however, believing the
request to confirm their subscription was a scam
to extract private information from them. It was,
though, just a technical hiccup. And, the fact is,
we never ask for personal information from subscribers
beyond their email address and state or country.
We guard all subscribers' email addresses closely
and never share them with outsiders.

This issue is an abbreviated one, and the next one
will be even shorter as we switch to what we hope
will be a better way of delivery. Beginning next week,
RV Travel will only be available on our website. We'll
send you an email alert each Sunday with the web
address. All of our regular features will remain including
the weekly reader survey and quiz. The new format will
allow us to run photos.

The primary reason for the switch in delivery is
that more and more email filters are interpreting our
present newsletter as Spam, and are not allowing it
through. Every week, more readers are affected,
most of whom never know because their issues
simply quit arriving. We believe that the new, brief
email alerts will get through to virtually all of our
91,000 subscribers.

That's all for now. I'll meet you again next Sunday
on the Web. —Chuck
