I recently convinced Camping Life Magazine to send me a couple hundred
copies of a fabulous booklet it recently published, "Your Guide To Towing."
The publication includes information on buying a tow vehicle, two ratings,
engine cooling, axle ratios, hitches, wiring, braking, loading, leveling,
and driving with a trailer. I'll send a brochure to any reader who sends
me his or her name and address (US and Canada) plus three first class

be postmarked no later than Wednesday, Sept. 18 and it's first come,

newsstands or by subscription. The colorful magazine is great reading for tent
campers or RVers who travel by truck camper or pop up trailer. The

FULLTIME RVING: TO SELL -- OR NOT TO SELL -- THE HOUSE
Here is advice from Carol Ray, author of Your Home On Wheels:
"At the time we decided to go full time, I was not ready to give up my
roots. However, we could not financially afford to keep our home and go on
the road. We did not want to rent the house to strangers. Our solution
was to rent our home to our daughter and her family for a smaller
rent than would be normal for the area. In return, they take wonderful
care of the house as if it were their own. . . " (She adds: "We have found
that most of our friends have sold their homes and are happy about

DIESEL PRICES UP FOR FOURTH STRAIGHT WEEK
The Energy Department reported last week that the national average
price of diesel fuel increased slightly from the week before to $1.396,
the fourth straight week the price has risen. The highest prices nationally
were in California ($1.62 per gallon) and the lowest in the Lower Atlantic
region, $1.341 per gallon.
