AN ARMCHAIR VISIT TO QUARTZSITE, ARIZONA
Just a brief note to tell you that we are now selling a wonderful
hour-long DVD about Quartzsite, Ariz., in our RV Bookstore.
Quartzsite, if you are not familiar with it, is a huge snowbird
destination, where hundreds of thousands of RVers visit each winter
season. The fellow who shot and produced the DVD recently left
CBS News after 30 years, much of that time with "60 Minutes." His
interest these days is RVing, and he has really done an incredible job
on this DVD, which was just released. He shows all there is to
see and do, and covers the RV park and free camping scenes very
well. I have been to Quartzsite a half-dozen times, and still learned
much from the DVD I didn't know, including that there is now a
cyber cafe there (in a trailer, of course). Anyone who might be
thinking of heading to Quartzsite for the winter -- whether for a day
or for the season ($125 for up to 7 months on the government lands),

project was unveiled that will utilize a 2,000-foot bridge over

FUEL PRICES MAY NOT BE VERY JOLLY THIS HOLIDAY SEASON
Analysts and federal officials are warning that heating oil, motor fuels
and natural gas will cost more this winter -- with a possible rise in diesel
fuel to $2 a gallon. The main reason: The anticipated invasion of Iraq

HOW TO LOVE YOUR RV TO DEATH
Some RVers believe to combat moisture in their RVs they should crank up
the heat. Some also cover the exterior in heavy tarps. Problem is, warmed
air holds even more moisture, which can cause expensive interior damage.
The trapped humidity causes rot, mold, corroded wiring, musty odors,
damp bedding, tainted provisions and persistent allergies. And, excess
