Workamper News
FROM CHUCK WOODBURY
editor, http://www.RVtraveler.com
I'd like to take this space this week to make a suggestion
and clarify a misconception. And then I would like to tell
you the sad news of the Shady Dell and then I will tell
you where I will be in mid-October in case you will be
nearby and want to stop to chat.
The suggestion is this: Would you please (please!) take a
minute to forward this issue of RV Traveler to an RVer
friend (or two or three) and urge he or she to sign up?
It only takes about 20 seconds. The sign up form is at
http://www.RVtraveler.com . Thanks a bunch.
And to clarify a misconception: Every week I get a
few letters from readers who say "Ever since I signed up
for your newsletter I'm getting a bunch of Spam." They
think I am to blame. This is absolutely, positively not true.
I never, ever share the email addresses of subscribers
with anyone outside my office (and I have a one-person
office so there isn't much sharing going on). So do not fear
an onslaught of junk email as a result of your subscription
to this newsletter. It won't happen in a million years,
which is well beyond my retirement age.
Sad news for anyone who loves old trailers. The Shady
Dell Motel in Bisbee, Arizona is up for sale. I only hope
someone buys it and keeps it going. At the Shady Dell,
guests stay in classic travel trailers from the '50s. Each
one is furnished in period detail down to chenille
bedspreads, magazines from the era, electric coffee
percolators, original refrigerators, black and white TVs
and record players with old recordings. There's a web
link below with more information about the sale of the
Shady Dell and another link where you can see a terrific
photo of the place. If you are wealthy, buy the Shady Dell
and I will give you some free advertising.
Finally, the California RV Show is coming Oct. 10-19 to
Pomona, just outside Los Angeles. I will attend and hope
to find a time and place on either the 17th or 18th when
I can hang out for an hour or two to meet with any readers
of this newsletter who want to stop by to gab. In the
meantime, read more here about the huge show.
Okay. . . enough rambling. There is some very good news
and information below. Enjoy the issue. And when you are
done, please forward it to someone else (recycling is
very beneficial to our environment).

ADVICE ABOUT FULLTIME RV TRAVEL COMPANIONS
If your full-timing companion is not related to you by
blood, marriage, or a legal arrangement such as adoption,
you could be cruising toward trouble. There are many
advantages to having a traveling partner, but things can
unravel quickly if you break up or if one of you has
financial, legal, or medical problems. Read more

RANDOM RV THOUGHT
"It's late September and that means it's time to check

and the damage can end up costing you a whole lotta money.
