How to travel in a million dollar motorcoach on a (relative) shoestring.
PRESS RELEASE, Sept. 9, 2003)
While companies such as NetJets and Flight Options have experienced success in the aircraft fractional ownership market, a new market has just been created for fractional ownership, and this time it has been introduced to the $10BB Recreational Vehicle Industry.
Since the events of 9-11, people have thought about and adjusted the way they travel, said Fractional Coach Chairman and CEO Clifton Baker. Fractional Coach became the first company to introduce the fractional ownership concept to the RV industry.
Fractional Coach specializes in the million dollar luxury motor coach segment that appeals to movie stars, pro athletes, millionaires, executives and corporations.
Our company specializes in the Prevost conversions that can retail for as much as $1.4M dollars, with other less expensive models available, continued Baker.
Prevost, a Volvo subsidiary, builds the 45 foot chassis and coach converters spend about six thousand man-hours to complete a conversion. Coaches feature amenities like Plasma and LCD televisions, surround sound systems, slide-out walls for spatial living in the bedroom and salon, seating for up to fifteen people and fully appointed kitchens with side-by-side refrigerator. Accompanied by marble and hardwood floors, granite counter tops, and a bathroom with full size tumbled marble showers, the coaches can be equated to small mansions on wheels. These coaches are exceptional RVs, not to be equated with the typical family RV. The Prevost conversion truly is the Bentley of RVs, stated Baker.
For most buyers, the sale revolves around their ability to own a coach for less than the typical down payment, and never experience the depreciation, debt service, and timely management and maintenance issues that require a lot of their valuable time, stated Directory of Sales & Marketing Joshua Smith. Fractional Coach allows its customers to experience all of the positive benefits of luxury coach ownership, while eliminating the negatives. Most of our buyers are wealthy individuals and corporations that never considered such a purchase until the introduction of fractional ownership, stated Smith.
Customers have access to a 24-hour-a-day concierge, use of coaches in specific regions of the U.S. and Canada, and they incur a one-time, upfront cost for a new coach for a fixed period of years. After the period elapses, they simply walk away from the ownership or move into another new coach. With all of the owners cost being paid up front, the program has no hidden costs or additional monthly or annual fees. Fractional Coach has turned ownership into a positive experience.
Packages are customized by the customers personal travel lifestyle. Fractional Coach can even offer experienced drivers, security detail and delivery options as a part of a custom package. Corporations find coaches useful for executive travel and events such as conventions and sport outings. Fractional Coach delivers and caters to our customers every desire, said Smith.
Today, 7.2 million RVs travel on the roads across the U.S. The Recreational Vehicle Industry Association estimates nationwide there are as many as 30 million RV enthusiasts, including RV renters.
