Eating Up Tires |
|
|
My 2002 Prowler has been eating tires. They are wearing very fast. Have replaced just recently. Checked what I could: shackles, tire pressure is correct; new shocks. Any ideas? One person told me I might have a bent axle.
Thanks in advance,

| The person who told you that you might have a bent axle may be on to something. I'd certainly have it checked. While you're checking everything, also have your rig weighed: each tire position is the best to make sure you're not overloading any one tire, but at least weigh each axle. |

Had the same problem when I had my fiver years ago. The axle had been knocked out of alignment by running over and bumping curbs, potholes, etc.
Went to a trailer repair shop and had the axles aligned (about $130 ten years ago), and had no more problems. _________________ 2006 Fleetwood Excursion 39L
