Mounting Generators on Tongue: Yes/No? |
|
|
I am in the market for a generator or two (single or twins ran together). I would like to fabricate a platform/housing on the tongue between the propane tanks and trailer. Is it feasible?
What are the pros and cons? If anybody has any experience or suggestions, please feel free. Feedback on generator configurations are welcome also.
I have a Skyline Aljo 250 lite 28' with a 13.5 BTU AC. _________________ Thanks for all your input and

It is possible. I saw a TT the other day that had a custom rack built above the batteries and between the propane tanks and the trailer. He had it designed so the rack would flip down for access to the batteries. Sorry on pix.
The drawback I can see is the extra weight on the tongue of the TT. _________________ 2003 GMC Duramax K2500HD

Do not forget turning radius, if you build outside the current tongue dimensions! _________________ Jim Walker
