NASCAR Camping |

New to the RV world and would appreciate any comments, suggestions or concerns regarding dry camping at NASCAR events. Looking to go to Lowe's Motor Speedway in a class A 32 footer.
Thanks |

Rules and prices are different at every track. Contact Lowe's (or go to their webpage) for accurate information.
We work races (not NASCAR) about 60 days a year at 7 or 8 different tracks. Those tracks' available facilities vary from dry camping to 50A plus a water/dump station.
I believe most of the serious NASCAR tracks have some available electrical hookups in their infield camping areas. But they are astronomically pricey, and getting one reserved less than a year in advance is probably iffy . . . at best.
Good luck! _________________ Norm & Janet

Probably somewhere in NA - or maybe on another continent. |

Nascar Camping |

We have worked in the RV lots at Las Vegas for a number of years. You should look at the tracks online site: there should be info about camping at the track. There are usually a number of options for camping, from basic dry to electric only to full hookups.
At LVMS you can pay from less than $200 to over $3000 for the weekend. Just be prepared to meet your neighbors, because you won't be far from them..............Mike _________________ 2000 Damon Challenger/2001 Kia Toad |

Lowes Dry Camping |
|
|
We have been dry camping at Lowes for years. Rock City is the cheapest and the noisiest. A lot of generators. Speaking of generators, make sure you have an exhaust pipe for yours. The track does put everybody on top of each other so when you run your gen, there is a good chance of carbon monixide poisoning to your neighbors. The exhaust pipe helps eliminate that. It costs about $130 at most camping places. Camping World has them (you can check out their website online). Country Crock is outside turn 4. I believe they are up to $150 for a spot. There is a shower house real close to these spots. If you have guests, the shower house can come in handy. I bought my coach to use my own shower, not go to a shower house. If you take a military shower ....wet down, shut shower off, soap up, rinse off, done! you will conserve a lot of water so you can take more showers. Your grey tank won't fill up quite as fast. Turn P parking is where we park outside turn 2. $150 per spot there also. You will learn as you go from track to track what works for you and what camp spots to stay away from. We (2 adults) dry camped at Daytona for a week and made it through the week no problem. They have "honey trucks" and water trucks driving around, and for a fee will either pump you out or add water to your tank. Propane trucks will also drive around. Tom Johnson's has full hookups for over $500 a spot. As mentioned in previous posts, look at the track website or just call them. We do about 7 race weekends a year (wish we could do more) . We only have full hookups at Bristol. Enjoy the race!! _________________ Mary & Jim
