The only vandal we had was a tree limb that fell straight through our roof and landed upright on our dinette. It was the night before we were scheduled to trade it in for our new 5er. Sigh.

I responded "no". However, my wife had a motorhome before I knew her. She had it stored in a wherehouse. It was taken and used as a get-a-way vehicle as the theives loaded it with other items stored in the wherehouse. When later found, the rv had been stripped.

Either we are living in it when we go out, or we have it parked in the driveway, locked. Our Tibetan Terrier is always in it when we so somewheres, camping.

We had parked our Class C motorhome at "Park & Swap" along Hwy.95 in Quartzsite, AZ last year in an attempt to sell it. Someone "keyed" both doors down to the metal through both paint and stripes. WHY?

My motorhome (and several others) were broken into while at a repair facility. They busted the glass in the door to open mine. They left money in the ash tray but opened my big makeup bag and tossed all contents on the floor, tore off the closet and kitchen cabinet doors, and took a brand new drill in the case. The repair company owner did all repairs at his expense.

My RV has never suffered human vandal damage but it suffered major damage from animal vandals, ie, a dog and a raccoon got into a fight in the engine & transmission area.

MY MOTOR HOME WAS RANSACKED IN LAS VEGAS AT A CAMPGROUND WITH A GUARDED GATE. 4 MOTOR HOMES WERE BURGLARIZED THAT NIGHT. AND ALL OUR MONEY AND GOLD JEWELRY WERE TAKEN, APPROXIMATELY $100,000 THEY CAUGHT THE MAN, WE FLEW BACK TO LAS VEGAS FOR THE TRIAL AND THE JUDGE GAVE HIM PROBATION, THE JUDGE SAID HE GOT ONLY A FEW DOLLARS FOR OUR MONEY AND GOLD JEWELRY. THE BLACK THIEF WAS TRIED THAT DAY FOR THREE FELONIES AND 4 MISDOMENIERS. HE RECEIVED 90 DAYS PROBATION ON ALL COUNTS.

A few years ago the door on our trailer was damaged severely & the microwave taken. Not long ago the back window of our motorhome was broken & a few small things taken. Each of these RVs was in a locked RV storage surrounded by a chain link fence. We now have a smaller MH and keep it at home with a security light.
