Yes, Wehave even loaned it to a lady we had never met. She had a huge German Shepard dog, Her truck had broke down and was being fixed just 2 miles from us. She left the motorhome cleaner then I had it. Right now our son and his wife have it. They are using it for aan extra bedroom for family coming in for a funeral.

We have "loaned" our RV to our grown kids, but not for traveling. We parked it in the campground that they wanted to go to and left them to enjoy it. BTW, we did borrow an older MH many years ago from close friends and upon returning it, had replaced the door handle, the refrigerator cover (which blew off somewhere) and various other incidentals. We also returned it with a full tank of gas and full tank of propane. We are still very good friends!

My feelings are not important as my insurance does not cover anyone but my husband and myself as drivers

If the trip were close enough we could haul the RV there & back, then we probably would. We use our RV for company to stay in when they visit, and that is never a problem. But I would not be comfortable with our kids or friends hauling it down the road.

I would be too concerned about their safety, with driving concerns, propane use, etc. Besides, this is asking for an end to a good friendship, and as a good friend I would never borrow something of such value. Would you?

No way! There are entirely too many ways that even a good meaning friend could get into trouble over--jack-kniffing, poor clearances, incorrect deposits into the sink, toilet, etc. I take care of my travel trailer much the same I would an airplane if I had one.

NO!!!! Since we full time now, but I learned my lesson years ago when I loaned my boat to a friend for a weekend, he did not tie it up good at the slip and caused damage to the fiberglass.

I would sooner loan out my husband than my motorhome, so not much chance of either!

I did once to my Son in law. He came back with a big gouge and rip on the awning. I had just replaced it a month ago when a sudden storm tour it up.

The key words were "close friend". Then I would assist them with what they needed to know. And there is always cell phones to keep in touch if there is a problem. We have a smaller MH and it always available to our children when we are not using it. If it were a large one, my anwer would be different.
