We own a 1983 Winnebago Chieftain 33 Class A, which myself, hubby and 3 dogs will start full-timing in next year. We will be renovating it over the winter for more utility as a full-time unit. Interesting to see how many are traveling in older rigs.

We have a 1983 Class A Eldorado motorhome that I have done a lot of renovations too. It works really good for us. I have it registered in Montana as any RV that is over 11 years old can get a perminant registration for $245 in which I never have to renew it every year now. Anything to make RVing less expensive.

I wonder how this compares with unbiased nationwide statistics. There seems to be a high proportion of Class As. This site seems to appeal to full-timers with a lot of money, rather than family-type campers who still have to work. I would think there would be a lot more pop-ups and truck campers out there than is indicated here.

It is not just a class a, it is a CLASSIC A, a 1975 GMC the top of the class, 33 and still going strong.

We have a 24 foot Mallard, that we graduated to from a small tent trailer. It serves us well and is just the right size for a couple plus two dogs. We pull it with a 3500 Dodge Ram Van that has a 360 cu.in. V-8 that seems to have plenty of power, unfortunately Chrysler quit making these vehicles and if we ever trade we will probably buy 25 ft Class C made by Ford or Daimler.
