Gas/Diesel prices is only a piece of the puzzle. Insurance rates have risen, our CSP premium has risen 40% etc..Lower fuel prices has given us a little more breathing room however travel plans have stayed the same.

We traveled quite a bit this summer, first year of retirement. This next year we will be watching the price of fuel.

Fuel prices have not dropped as fast in California as many other states. Diesel is still hovering close to the three dollar mark. We canceled all travel plans for the near future. We are making a trip to Bullhead AZ for a week in Feb. but that is it. All of our friends are staying close to home traveling less than 50 miles for RV outings.

This past year we cut our travels to in state sites. Before the gas crunch we planned to go to Newfoundland .Now this is our plan for the coming year. When you live on a fixed income every Dollar counts. So I think we will enjoy this even more.

We are planning a few more "long week-end" trips for next year, but with the economy being what it is, we will be staying close to home, until the Stock Market comes back up.

**Other. This is also a high price to pay for gasoline. The lower numbers cited have not been seen by me, or anyone I have spoken with living all over the country.

We canceled a trip across Canada and put it off for another year or two when prices spiked. The trip is now back on the itinerary.
