I do not feel unsafe at all. I pay attention after dark mostly for wild animals not people.I have been fulltime for 5 years now and have never had a problem.

I went to the sporting goods section and bought a small air horn. No bigger than a flashlight but will blast your ears off!

Ever since our state passed the concealed carry law, my husband & I both carry pistols. I carry one in a special purse with a holster in it and easy access plus I have one in my car beside my drivers seat. I also have a 38 special with a laser sight on it for night time that hangs on my bed post.

I travel with my 3 dogs (they will lick you to death), pepper spray, and a Glock 9mm.

I always have my shotgun in the camper and my side arm on my side. I also hand a large dog leash outside by the door.

Until recently I traveled with a dog. Great early warning system. However, she was old. I do have a tazer and a large can of bear spray, not for the bear, but an intruder.

I have a Taser from Taser International in Scottsdale. It can be carried in almost all states, is easy to use, has a laser site, and comes in colors. Great peace of mind without all the gun law problems.
