When we purchased our RV, we upgraded the mattress. It was horrid. We found a mattress similar to the temprapedic and are now sleeping in heaven on 4 types of memory foam. Best thing we have ever added to the RV.

We slept on our new RV mattress one night. The next night we put an air mattress on top of it. When we got home we purchased an AreoBed with duel controls (queen), added an eggcrate foam and a heated mattress pad. Now sleeping is wonderful for us and the dogs! We have an air mattress in our house so we are very happy with our RV bed now.

Manufacturers put the cheapest possible mattresses in that they can find. We spent 300 dollars and had it totally rebuilt, now it is very comfortable.

We got a foam topper for our elderly RV and found that its bed was more comfy than our home bed. Just got a memory foam bed for home. Sometimes we learn in reverse.

My wife says the bed in our Mobile Suites is more comfortable than the bed we have at home! Me? I could sleep on a carpet.

Several years ago, my husband lived in our fifth wheel while working in San Jose, CA. He HAD to have a comfortable bed and purchased a "Sleep Number" air bed with two controls. It has moved from that original fifth wheel to another fifth wheel with two slides to our current Gulf Stream Endura. No problem moving matress from unit to unit. And it is comfortable for both. EJA

We got a 4" memory foam mattress topper (3" high density foam with 1" memory foam bonded to it) We cut it to our dimensions for our Class B then re- cut it when we got our teardrop trailer. It has a cover which I also trimmed to fit the new size. It is incredibly comfortable.... Cost about $120.00 when we purchased it three years ago.

I added the memory foam on top of my mattress and it is very nice now.

We exchanged the RV mattress for a 4 inch sheet of foam and topped with a 1 1/2 inch sheet of memory foam. A mattress pad on top holds it all together. Much cheaper than the Temper-pedic or RV mattress... We purchased from J.C. Penney, delivered by UPS. It arrived all rolled up in a plastic bag, which made it easy to get up the steps to the bedroom and open, fold out and voila.... New bed!!!

There is definitely a pattern here. We all think our beds are very comfortable because we have almost all replaced them with better quality mattresses than what came with the RV!!! RV manufacturers take note, please.
