I carry a full set, metric and standard,as well as electrical repair and a small 120v air compressor. Also small spare parts for the things that usually break.

I have a socket set and combo wrench set as well as a couple of screwdrivers and a hammer in the mh. However I have almost all of my other tools in my work truck which so far has almost always been close to us.

We carry enough tools to fix or do maintenance on most of the items in our RV, we leave anything under the hood to the pros

I only carry what I know how to use. Most under the hood stuff is not my expertise. Roadside assistance is a phone call away, thank goodness!

RVs are just like helicopters. For every hour used they require an hours maintenance.

Being a retired auto tech, I usually carry just enough in case of an emergency.

I used to carry many tools, full tool box. Since solid state ignition, fuel injection, etc; I have reduced my tool box to what it might take to fix inside problems.

When I bought my Diplomat, I had a perfect location for a tool kit, but could find no commercially made box that would efficently use the space, So, I built a seven drawer chest that totally fills the aft compartment on the Stbd side. Now I have space for a (near) full set of tools.

What are plyers? Is that something for working on tyres?
