We live in a small 5th wheel for 3 months of the year to get out of Texas heat! It would be longer but my husband is 89 so its all up to me! Hard to come home to lots of work, when the RV is so little work. We enjoy where ever we are!

If we had the money we would travel more than we do because of gas prices and park prices. We would like to travel in the fall to various indoor craft events to sell home made gifts. Also travel from Georgia(home base) to see family in Florida, Texas and Pennsylvania, Maine. Now we have restricted our RV trips to couple of days and driving only 200 miles out and then back home.

The high price of campgrounds is the only thing that keeps us from being fulltimrs. We did it for 4 years and had to back way off due to our nest egg being spent so fast. High diesel prices were tough but managable but when campground prices became as high as motel prices we had to throw in the towel.

It was the best move we have ever made, sold it all and now spend 365 in our 5th wheel. 8 years and still smiling, never another stick house for us.

Been Full-timing and Volunteering for 12yrs. No regrets. Still cheaper than owning a home attached to the ground, even with diesel at $4.45 in the west.

I put 200 but realized we already live in the TT 200 days a year. That includes 5 months in the winter away from Minnesota snow.
