We bought our fifth-wheel trailer primarily for going to the Oshkosh Air Show each year. It is the last week of July (plus or minus) and is the largest airshow in the world. From our home in NJ, it is a little over 900 miles one way. Plus now that we have the trailer, we look for minor side excursions enroute or on the way home. But having tented for a number of years, the trailer has given us a entirely new mind-set about traveling there and back.

We will be putting on 1500 just getting to my daughter in colorado for the labor Day weekend then another 7000 after that. We prefer to do most of our trips AFTER labor Day for obvious reasons. We do short trips all year around of about 150 miles

We will be leaving for Alaska via the scenic route of Corpus Christi, TX and San Diego, TX shortly after Easter. I have not included those miles in the estimate. St Louis, MO
