I have done enough research to decide to buy A Lithium RV battery set. My questions are:

1)why would 1 opt for a 24 or 48 volt system, what is the advantage?

2)what other equipment will I need and does it come with instructions to make it all work?

    3) besides the cost up front, are there any serious downsides?

I’m retired.   Have traveled with towed trailer.

Recently gained a large inheritance.  NOW want to move up to A full size RV.  Looking for a used diesel pusher, but short length, since there are only two of us.

I need to know what brands/models to AVOID.

The brands depend on which level of DP you are looking at there are entry level DP, mid-level high-end and there are bus conversions. Also how far back are you looking to go, 1 -5 yrs 6 – 10 yrs or older. I’ll throw some brands at you that were really strong builds and let you do the browsing. Tiffin, Newmar, Monaco, Holiday Rambler, American coach, Country Coach, Foretravel,  & Newell. Country Coach will be the hardest to find on the market. PPl tend to hold on to them. They are out of production  for now, but the original owner of the company, is restarting, making spares parts for existing coaching and designing a new coach for release sometime in the future. Good Luck on your search, and even the 45′ DP’s are really designed for 2.
