We have a 2020 Sports Coach with a mid door.  The door closes just fine in warmer weather however when the temperatures turns cold in the high 30’s and colder we need to slam the door to get it to shut and the deadbolt to operate.  I used some white-out on the bolt to see where it is dragging and have filed the strike plate to give the deadbolt more room however it is not enough and I fear the door will start rattling when in transit or the glass will break slamming the door shut.   My other guess is the gasket gets stiff when cold and not compressing easily.  What are your thoughts?

Pull the handle and gently close the door with the other hand, and release handle while pushing.  Light coating of Clear SILICONE GREASE (HD ELECTRICAL DEPT) on the strike plate & bolt can make AMAZING DIFFERENCE.  (Slamming is just an invitation to break the strike bolt, a common RV issue?)  Good Luck.
