RECENTLY, I have been experiencing flooding issues in the
bedroom area due to an overflowing freshwater tank.

After emptying the fresh water tank, while using the city water
hookup, that it also filled the fresh water tank to overflowing,
again in the bedroom.

I wasn't aware there was a path from the city water hookup to
the fresh water tank.

It is obvious there must be a valve to prevent that path from
happening. I am at a loss as to where that valve may be and
which way it should be turned... Help please...

Typically an overflowing of the fresh water tank when hooked to city fill is a weak backflow valve on the water pump. Check out the Q&A posted in March here;
