Originally ask 1/7/23 ...Question

We currently have Michelin 255 80R 22.5 XRV tires on our 2017 coach DOT dates all late 2016. We are looking to replace these tires. Because of availability and price (even with club memberships) we are considering following many others in our situation by switching to a TOYO 265 75R 22.5. The rating is the same G and specs are very close. TOYOs web shows it as a replacement for this Michelin and the overlay drawings have very little perceivable difference. Do you see any problems with making this switch? I would love to stick with Michelin...just because....but I'm having a hard time with the price difference when so many others with my coach have made this change and say it's a better ride..no regrets.

You say the "Rating" is almost the same. Do you mean the Load Index or Load capacity in pounds is the same? The basic recommendation when changing tires is to ensure the Load Capacity of the new tires is equal or greater than the original tires. I suggest you confirm the load capacities of the tires and then follow this advice.

@roger thank you...I meant the rating of G and specs of size... but I will confirm the load rating which would be an important point. Thanks.
