We have two RV's. Our primary RV is a 34' 5th Wheel trailer with two axles. With this rig, I understand and agree with the reasoning to only use ST designated tires. Our second one is an off-road 15' pop-up bumper pull trailer with only two wheels/tires, independent suspension. In my way of thinking, this set up is more like your non-steering axle and therefore an ST tire is not as necessary as it is on a two-axle rig like our 5th Wheel. Would appreciate your thoughts on this question.

The key bit of information needed is the tire load capacity in pounds. If you are changing tires you need to ensure the new tires have the same or GREATER load capacity in pounds than the original tires.
