Sometimes my Dometic awning won’t open or close. However, if I rapidly change the switch from open to close several times I can then get it to open or close. This can happen even when batteries are fully charged or trailer is plugged into power pedestal. Do you think this could be a bad switch or something else? How best to troubleshoot?

Do you have a digital meter? It is most likely the switch, and theses a simple test you can do.

If you can easily get access to the he back of the switch, set your meter on 20 volts DC and measure across the center to side terminal. When it’s making contact you should measure 0 volts. When the switch is not making contact you should measure 12 to 13 volts or so.
