Fund your RV travels by harvesting sugar beets this October

This October, make up to $5,000 working at the sugar beet harvest in Minnesota, North Dakota and Montana.

American Crystal Sugar Company and Sidney Sugars are hiring over 1,300 sugar beet harvesters this year to help at the piling sites to help direct trucks, shovel beets, and keep the area clean and organized. Shifts are 12 hours, 7 days a week. The harvest lasts usually 2-4 weeks, but they ask that you commit for the whole month of October. Workers are required to be able to lift 30 lbs.

Shifts are paid by the hour, with many hours being paid time-and-a-half, or double-time depending on if shifts are on weekends, or are over 8 hours long.

Camping sites are provided, and harvesters are asked to camp as there are no other accommodations on-site.

RVers hoping to be a part of the harvest should apply now. To visit the official website and apply for a position click here. Watch the video below for more details.

They all should all stay away

Mary Ihla

Of course, you must realize the reason behind this “opportunity.” In the past, the harvest was done by migrant workers, but this year they’re staying away. I’m sure you can guess why.
