Here is another installment of Mailboxes along the Road – unique, funny, outrageous and/or otherwise creative mailboxes the readers of RVtravel.com have spotted while traveling North America in their RVs (and sometimes without their RVs).
Keep the photos coming! Submit them at the bottom of this page.
Mike Albert snapped this photo in Punda Gorda, Florida. We bet you never thought of this use for an old and unwanted outboard motor. Mike said he had more photos of mailboxes from his travels. We hope he sends them along!
Matt Johnson took this photo near Tombstone, Arizona. The postal carrier on this route must love this mailbox! Thanks, Matt!
Marie Beschen found this mailbox in Florida. She didn’t say where. There sure are a lot of “pelican” mailboxes in Florida! Thanks, Marie.
Another Florida “bird” mailbox, from Punta Gorda — and this time it’s a flamingo. Sally Weigand spotted it in Punta Gorda. Thanks, Sally!
We don’t think the postal service is delivering mail here. Jan Douglass found it atop Iron Mountain near Poway, California. We love it, Jan! Thanks.
Lawrence Northway found this near Picton, in Ontario, Canada. “The chap has a real sense of humor,” he wrote in his email. The Globe and Mail box refers to the Globe Newspaper. We agree with the placement of the junk mail. Thanks for making us laugh, Lawrence!
