If someone you had never met in person before, or who had never seen a photo of you, asked you, “Do you look your age?” what would you say? If you answer “no” would you say you look older or younger than your actual age?
Well, OK, we admit… We’re that person asking you the question! Please tell us in the poll below if you think you look your age or younger or older. Would your partner agree or friends agree with you? Wink.
People are always telling me they can’t believe I’m old enough to be retired. Although people can retire at any age.
I am 72 and often get reminded I need to be over 60 to get the senior discount.
My mother in law once told me I would never be a man that I would always be a boy. I thought she was being mean to me. But she was right. Now 50 years later I wish she could see me now. I look marvelous. But seriously my wife and I still have to remind ourselves that we’re not teenagers anymore. The grand and great grand kids still want us to play. So we must be pulling the “youngster” off. Lol
After the last four years, I’ve aged A LOT!
I do know how old I feel, I don’t know how old I look, I don’t know how old I act, but I do know that when I look in the mirror every morning, I am shaving my father’s face.
Yep
I don’t think i feel my age, 80, but my family keep sing I am my age after they have to help me get back up after a fall.
I’ve had a lot of people tell me I look younger than I am (63). I don’t smoke and don’t drink much. Growing old is mandatory but growing up is optional. I try to take things lightly and have fun with whatever I’m doing and think that’s helped keep me younger looking.
I don’t think I look my age UNTIL I see a photo of myself… but that person I see in the mirror looks younger. I often wonder what type of lens my eyes must have!
That’s funny Wolfe. I swear I have the same issue. When I look in the mirror to shave, I think I look ok. Then I look at a picture my wife takes and I look terrible. How can that be?
Me too!!!
Recently at a farmers market I was wearing a Vietnam Veteran ball cap as I often do. I noticed a man that kept looking my way. He eventually came over and asked if I was legitimately wearing that cap. He said maybe I was a Desert Storm vet but definitely not a Vietnam vet because I was too young! After assuring him I had two tours in NAM he told me his Dad was there and looked the age and that was why he questioned me. I thanked him for his Dad’s service and went on my way. He called out to see my ID and I of course ignored him. I did not feel I had to prove anything to him.
I have been told I don’t look my age; but I certainly feel it.
I look at people my age and think “Dang, they look old”. Certainly I can’t look that old, can I?
Age is in the jeans, they either fit or they don’t! My dad passed at 85 and he looked like he was in his 60s. I just turned 70 and my husband has always told me I look as if I’m in my 50s. How is a 70 yr old suppose to think or act. I feel I’m in a 49 or 50s state of mind. Mind over matter and party on!🍻
I think I look my age (72) when I look in the mirror but people I volunteer with think I’m 5 to 10 years younger. It’s as much or more a matter of attitude and energy level as it is looks.
In high school, I noticed our cheerleaders were a lot more attractive than those of opposing teams. I realized it was knowing our cheerleaders and their personalities that made the difference.
I’m totally with you Irv. Attitude and energy fool lots of folks!

Perfect!
It ain’t the years, it’s the miles.
I fessed up and said I looked my age of 70, but I think I’ve taken better care of myself than most others at the same age – never smoked or drank coffee and can still bike 30 miles. On the other hand I used to get carded up until age 26. Of course now you get carded regardless of age!
Its not the age, its the mileage. And I’m too tall for my hair.

I have been too tall for my hair since age 17. It bothered me then, I became indifferent in my twenties. Now at near 76, I am glad I don’t have to spend money on the haircuts. LOL
I think I look my age but everyone else doesn’t seem to believe me. I’ve had to prove my age several times when seeking benefits for those 60 or 65 plus. I’m 72.
I look my age at 71, maybe couple years older. Wife is 74, she won’t read this, but looks early 60’s, lucky me. Like many we don’t want to act our ages, that’s no fun.
Looks like most of us think we look younger than we are and that is good.
