As you know, every day we feature a “Readers’ Pet of the Day” in our newsletters. If you read our newsletters often, you’ll notice that fairly often, at least a few times a week, there’s more than one pet in the photo. Sometimes someone has three pets, sometimes four!
On most of your RV trips, how many animals/pets travel with you? Just one? Two? Three? Four? Five? More?!
After you vote, please leave a comment and tell us about your pet(s). And if you haven’t submitted a photo yet to be featured, you can do so here. We’re running low, so this is much appreciated! Thanks!
Sadly, none. Our last dog passed away two years ago.
Normally we take our two dogs (GSD and Dutch Shepherd/Whippet mix) but sometimes we bring one of our three cats. Longer trips, everyone comes.
Our dog Jackson has made every RV trip we have taken since we got our own rig in 2016. Sadly, he is about to “travel over the rainbow bridge,” and we will be without companionship until we are ready for his successor. 🙁
Sorry to hear about Jackson, Neal. Been there, done that too many times. The last time has been the most difficult. Take care.🤗 –Diane at RVtravel.com
how About zero? Why isn’t that an option?
No response to why none isn’t an option?
Maybe because whoever put the poll together forgot to include that option?🤔 Have a good night, Gary. 😀 –Diane at RVtravel.com
I’m with the rest of those unhappy that none is not an option. We’ve been pet owners, but when the last ones crossed the rainbow bridge, we opted to remain petless. It’s much easier on us and the pets not to travel with them. When we are no longer able to rv, we still won’t have any as we’ll be too infirm to take care of them or we’ll be too concerned about tripping over them.
Unless we have a neighbors stowaway, NONE. We started pulling out once, got to our gate and heard a meow. After 30 minutes of delay, our neighbor had their cat back and off we went, pretty happy it wasn’t day 3 of the trip that we heard the MEOW.
We have traveled with cats and dogs over the years. We are enjoying the freedom without currently.
Why isn’t 0 a choice. We travel everywhere with absolutely NO animals and wouldn’t have it any other way.
One, he is a meat-eating 160 lb ten yr old trained but retired ex-police dog and he can have a nasty outlook on any strangers causing me grief. Other than that, he is just a pansy.
NONE! We travell with no pets. We enjoy each other’s company. And I NEVER bark
I answered one. But we currently have no pets to travel with us, as our dog died due to old age. Now as my wife and I camp we see lots of RVers walking their pets in the evening and sigh in relief, as we have had our last dog 12 years and past pets for a good many years before that.
It seems to me a “poll” is for the purpose of finding out specific information on a particular subject. Or is it supposed to be a place where everyone, regardless, can participate? Hmm?
This one is interesting in that it goes from 1 to over 5 pets – if you don’t fit any of those categories – obviously the answer is “0”, none! Those of us with no pets don’t participate in this particular poll……..
Where is NONE!
Have not had a pet since we begin RVing. We enjoyed the pets we had. Then we heard a Rabbi say, “life begins when the kids leave home and the dog dies”. Somewhat humorous as well as somewhat true.
Zero. We loved our many pets over the years, but after we retired we made the decision to not replace our pets as they passed on so that we would free and flexible to travel unencumbered.
Zero pets.
Why no “0” choice? We don’t travel with any animals, never have, never will!
We travel to see and do things and not be restricted while baby sitting pets. Many trails and places say “no pets”.
We have zero pets traveling with us
Our little dog Remi has been with us for 14 years, we rescued him when he was 3. He loves traveling whether camping or driving, unfortunately this will be his last trip. Health issues are catching up with him as he has a tumor and at 17 the vet doesn’t believe he would survive the operation. He will be greatly missed.
