Poll: Would you rather be able to fly or be invisible at will?

18

Okay, we realize this poll is not about RVing! So hold the angry letters. We conduct about 400 polls a year and once in awhile we just like to have a little fun. So, that’s what this week’s question is all about.

Maybe when you a little boy or girl you dreamed of flying, like Superman or Superwoman. Or maybe you wanted to be like H.G. Wells’ character The Invisible Man. Of course, in that case The Invisible Man was never able to reverse his experiment and had to live the rest of his life invisible. So maybe he’s not a good example for our question.

Whatever the case, what talent would choose if you had to choose between being able to fly like a bird, or become invisible whenever you wished (but become visible again when you were ready, of course)?

That’s our question. So now, what will it be? This will be interesting.

If I was invisible, there would be a lot of annoying people missing car keys!

I lack any interest in being either. I am afraid of heights, so I opted for invisibility.

A very fun poll with fun comments that made my day.

DH pointed out that flying would probably expend the same amount of energy as walking, which I had not thought of, either for those who hurl themselves thru air like Superman (DC) or winged flyers such as Angel (Marvel) I myself would have opted for running superfast, but that was not an offered option. Of the options listed both DH and I then go with the Susan Storm Richards option- at will invisibility. Maybe we could turn invisible and convince our 3 cats we aren’t in bed trying to sleep in when they want first breakfast at 5:30 a.m.

I think invisibility would be great because you can do so much good. For example, if there was a hostage situation you can go into the house and knock the guy out and save lives. Also, you can have fun in someone’s house scaring them make them think their house is haunted just for fun. 😀

Since we’re doing imaginary battle with the laws of physics, I’d hope that invisibility would include the magical gift of sight. Otherwise, with invisible retinas, the invisible people are totally blind.

Really? You’re over thinking the question. Personally, I would like to be invisible at will, AND be able to fly.

I do sometimes fly in my dreams. Even there it requires intense concentration. Maybe I’m just training for a future life as a bird or bat?

I chose fly because, as a senior citizen, I am virtually invisible anyway and my wife on crutches is totally invisible to most people.

I had the same reaction, Sink. Very sad. Take care, Sink, Richard and wife. And more people care about you than you might realize, BTW. 🙂 —Diane at RVtravel.com
