Will you buy the same type of RV next time around?

Are you happy with the type of RV you now own? If you own a motorized RV now will you likely buy another motorized RV the next time around? Or will you change to a towable RV?

Ditto for current towable owners. Will you tow another RV or opt for one with an engine up front (or at the rear)?

It may take a few moments for the poll to load, so stand by.

I enjoy the experience of driving a motorhome and expect that we will buy another as our next RV. However, our most recent trip was spent at Freightliner dealers with technicians who were unable to diagnose and solve our problems until we were more than a week into the process. Hopefully we will get no repeats of this experience; we’ll see.

We just downsized from a 38’ class A to a 23’ travel trailer because the motorhome was too big. We are in our higher senior years and want to enjoy a certain amount of travel in the time we have left, but we decided the motorhome was more than we could handle safely. This will probably be our last RV barring something tragic happening.

Short of something happening to our Big Horn 5th wheel, we will keep it as long as we continue to travel. We love the Floorplan and have not found any others that we like better for the size. It fits all of our needs. We bought it new in 2014.

I don’t know if in the future I’ll be able to obtain another cheap old motorhome but that’s what I’m hoping to do. The one I have now is 44 years old and I paid $300 for it seven years ago.

Planning to buy a motorhome next as I am unable to buy a new truck low enough to back under my fifth wheel!

We’ve owned three Ford conversion vans and three Ford V10 motor homes. It’s almost impossible to get a Ford dealer to change the oil and do any maintenance to a motorhome. Never had a major problem with any of them. Moving to TT and a Ford truck.

Owned towable since 1978, 2016 bought a used class A that I didn’t know anything about, found out the hard way about Ford F-53 chassis’s and V-10 engines, traded that off on a used Chevy chassis 8.1L V8, loved it spent the next 3 years making it just like we wanted it. Foolishly we decided to sell it before Covid19 as we thought we were to old for RVing. We sat at home all last winter kicking each other’s rear end and just bought a 23’ travel trailer. It’ll be easier to handle, less room to move around in, but we’ll enjoy warm weather next winter and several smaller trips each summer.

We had owned several towables over the past 50+ years but switch to a motorized after our youngest finished school. The one thing I tell anyone who asks is I won’t own a towable again. Well I do tow a car trailer but that doesn’t count.

We are on our second towable and my answer is not there. We probably won’t be buying another because we like what we have unless a tree falls on this one. So we are sticking with what we have for now.

Seems towables will stick towables and motorized will stick motorized. I’m a towable guy.

Obviously, it looks like you missed listing the most common answer…. Will not be buying a new rv. Add me to that group.

Yup, just sold our towable and truck and will not be replacing them with anything else. Too much aggravation, no manners and crowding. Just bought a cushy suv and are doing road trips, until we’re comfy with air travel.

I shopped for my last RV right from the get-go. So no plans to change or upgrade. I own a 2002 Monaco Windsor PBT Floorplan Diesel Pusher. I spent one year researching diesel pushers back in 02-03 before purchasing the 02 in December 03 second hand from the original owners. Have now owned the coach 17 years with many more years of enjoyment to come.

Lots of choice for this poll, except the one I need: “I don’t expect to buy another RV”

Just bought our next RV, our dream RV, 6 months ago.

I have not worn out my current RV yet, and have no plans to buy another.

We plan to keep our Class A and use it as long as we are able to travel, no need to buy another at this time anyway. Besides, we haven’t been able to travel anywhere since March 2020 as we have to stay within our provincial borders. We do have a seasonal site for the summer months. But I have booked in Arizona for this winter so hoping the border will open by then.

I have a 38ft Class A DP. Probably be my last RV. Don’t intend on buying another one. This one fits our needs just fine.

Will probably scale down again from a Class C to a B van

Our 26′ Class C works fine for us. I’m not looking to replace it, but if I stumbled into a Class C toy hauler I would definitely look at it. They’re almost as rare as a Bigfoot Unicorn. We have a friend that has one but it was special ordered and took months to be delivered.
