Re: Mike’s RPBG/Hot Skin nomenclature debate, I have always call it “Energized Ground” or “Energized Equipment Ground.” Much clearer phrasing when explaining why a 1950s zinc drill becomes lethal in a certain outlet.

Another explanation I came up with, for folks that think of power like water, then “you have the water shooting out of the drain, and when it can’t find the tiny faucet it drowns you instead.”

Re: Honda 2200 recall — yeah, those Hondas are really cruddy. That’s why I only recommend Chinese knockoffs, that don’t have all those premium quality issues. 😛

When Google Maps says you’re 3 hours and 45 minutes away, it’s probably more like 5 hours. Driving an RV is nothing like driving a car. You can’t swerve through traffic and you can’t just fly down the interstate. Especially in a 20-year-old rig, you’ve got to take your time in getting from point A to point B. Since we’re trying to make it across the lower 48 in seven months, we do keep a fast-paced schedule. When parked and a windy storm is predicted, should you put your levelers up or down?

I have a Class A with 4 slides. I leave levelers down, and pull the slides in. And this is subject to the intensity of the storm.
