Summer festivals are fun family events including South Carolina’s Lexington County Peach Festival – July 4, 2019.
For six decades, folks of all ages have looked forward to the Lexington County Peach Festival in Gilbert, SC.

“Summer after summer in the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s, the community was alive with the harvesting, packing, and shipping of peaches,” according to ExperienceColumbiaSC.com. “Today, we find only a few peach farms still in operation, however the peach remains (in our minds) the Queen of all Fruits, and worthy of honor in our small town” of Gilbert.
Festivities kick off with a parade and conclude with a dazzling firework show at dusk. Spend Independence Day enjoying arts and crafts exhibits, an antique car show, a Revolutionary War re-enactment, and all the peachy food one can dream of.

Franklin County Field Days has been hosting fun events for more than 40 years.
Enjoy agriculture, track events, horse shows, amusement rides, a dozen contests, demolition derbies, and a wide range of festival food.

Idaho’s Festival at Sandpoint – Aug. 1-11, 2019

Jackson Browne and Kool & the Gang are just two of the big-name acts performing Aug. 1-11 at the Festival at Sandpoint.
The nonprofit festival has been going strong since 1983. There are two full bars and 13 vendors, but people are welcome to bring their own food and beverages from home.
“Grab a lawn chair and park yourself in the field or grab a general admission seat in the grandstand. Either way, you’re in for 11 days of music, food, fun, culture.”
This festival is not just for grown-ups. The Family Concert is musical fun for the young and young at heart on Sunday, Aug. 4. This special event features the Festival Community Orchestra and Studio One Dancers.
“Favorite pre-concert activities include the Instrument Petting Zoo where kids can try out various instruments with guidance from musical mentors, an animal petting zoo, clowns, face painting, games galore and the popular Parents’ Corner where moms and dads can take a break from the chaos for a complimentary mini-massage,” states the festival website.
All tickets for Family Concert are only $6. Activities begin when the gates open at 2:30 p.m. and the musical performance starts at 5 p.m.
