Thor to use Truma hot water system in Sequence motorhomes

The following is a press release issued July 25, 2019. It has been edited for brevity.

Elkhart, Ind. – Truma has announced that Thor Motor Coach, a member of Thor Industries, has partnered with Truma to use the Truma Combi heating and hot water system in its newest Class B vehicle, the Sequence.

The Truma Combi delivers both hot air and hot water from the same lightweight system. The driving factors in the decision to make the Combi a part of the vehicle were the near-silent operation, the compact size of the unit, and the Combi’s energy efficiency.

Jon Krider, VP Product Development and Marketing with Thor Motor Coach, not only helps
design RVs, but as an industry executive, also uses and tests out the vehicles. “My wife and I took the Sequence with the Truma Combi system out for a weekend last spring. I wanted to let you know we very much enjoyed the function of the heater and the quietness of its service. The water was hot and we both took showers, military style, with plenty of hot water. On Saturday night the temps were in the 40s and the heater provided great warmth.”

“The Truma Combi has been the standard in the motorized vehicle segment in the European market for many years,” explained Gerhard Hundsberger, President and CEO of Truma North America. Truma systems can now be found on over 75% of North American Class B motorhomes. “We look forward to supporting Thor Motor Coach with the launch of the Sequence,” which was announced by Thor Motor Coach on July 22.
