Howdy! As we’re about to learn from Saturday’s survey question, there’s probably a good chance you’re reading this from your RV. Where are you? New Hampshire? Alabama? New Mexico? Oregon? Wherever you are, if you’re struggling to find things to do, take a look at this list of 7,319 things you could be doing or seeing. Wherever you are, welcome back to your favorite weekly newsletter.
OK, so, as I mentioned, last Saturday 23 percent of you told us that you will spend almost the entire month in your RV and 51 percent say you’ll spend some of the month in your RV. For the 8 percent of you who aren’t sure yet, either hop on the road or join the 18 percent who won’t be using their RV at all this month.
Sometimes I think about all the jobs I could have, and it makes me very thankful for the one I have. You know who I think probably has the worst job in the world? Dracula’s dentist. OK, anyway, on Monday 48 percent of you told us that you brush your teeth twice a day. However, quite a few of you brush your teeth once a day: 29 percent of you say that’s in the morning, and 11 percent of you say that’s in the evening. A small 6 percent of you brush your teeth three times a day or more (wow!) and 3 percent of you do not brush regularly. We got 84 votes, another 3 percent, who answered, “What teeth?”
Let’s taco bout what meal you usually “dine out” the most on RV trips. On Tuesday, most of you, 37 percent, said dinner is your preferred meal to eat out, but 32 percent of you prefer to eat lunch out. Only 7 percent of you mostly eat out for breakfast and a whole quarter of you almost never dine out at all.
I’ll give you the inside scoop on this one. Wednesday’s question asked you to pick a dessert: pie, cake or ice cream. Exactly half of you would choose to have ice cream for dessert (but the real question is what kind of ice cream would you pick?), 37 percent of you would pick pie, and only 13 percent of you would pick cake. Reader Jeannie commented that she likes sugar-free pudding cups that are partially frozen. What a brilliant idea! Be right back…running to the store to get pudding cups…

OK, I’m back with some sad news. On Thursday we learned that 67 percent of you do not subscribe to any newspaper (print or digital). That being said, though, 12 percent of you subscribe to a print newspaper, and 13 percent subscribe to a digital newspaper. Only 8 percent of you subscribe to both. My, how things have changed, huh?
OK, off to keep “plugging away” as Chuck says. See ya!
Point of personal privilege if I may. In the South dinner is a large meal at noontime. Supper is the evening meal. Remember, it was the Lord’s Supper, not the Lord’s Supper. I now return you to your newsletter.
“Lord’s Supper, not the Lord’s dinner.”
Thank you. I should have figured I would mess it up while trying to be cute.
