The Potato Museum provides information on potato history, the growing and harvesting process, nutrition, trivia and educational potato facts. Watch a short video presentation on how the potato industry has developed. The museum is located in downtown Blackfoot at 130 NW Main Street in the old Oregon Short Line Railroad Depot. There’s plenty of easy RV parking. Don’t miss the gift shop with all kinds of unique potato trinkets. And if you didn’t already know, Blackfoot is the “Potato Capital of the World.” How about that? My wife and I have been to this museum several times during our trips to Idaho – it’s really a “don’t miss” place if you have the chance – takes about an hour – the museum is very informative.
