Why choose Kool Seal Tundra for your RV roof coating

If you’re looking for a roof coating that offers long-lasting protection and enhanced appearance, Kool Seal Tundra could be the perfect solution for your RV. This product comes with a lifetime guarantee, which means you can trust it to protect your RV roof for years to come.

In this video, we’ll walk you through why Kool Seal Tundra is a top choice for RV roof coatings, especially for those with aged or damaged roofs.

Key benefits of Kool Seal Tundra

Lifetime guarantee

One of the standout features of Kool Seal Tundra is the lifetime guarantee. That offers you peace of mind that your RV roof will stay protected from the elements for as long as you own the vehicle.

Weather-resistant protection

Kool Seal Tundra is formulated to withstand extreme weather conditions. Whether you’re traveling in hot, sunny climates or experiencing heavy rains, this roof coating is designed to provide superior protection against water, UV rays, and the natural wear and tear that comes with outdoor exposure.

Reflective surface for energy efficiency

The reflective properties of Kool Seal Tundra help keep your RV cooler by reflecting sunlight, which can improve energy efficiency inside your RV. This feature is particularly beneficial during those hot summer months when your RV is parked under the sun.

Easy to apply

Kool Seal Tundra can be easily applied with a roller or brush, making it a DIY-friendly option for RV owners. With the right preparation, you can achieve a professional-quality finish without the need for expensive professional services.

Customization recommendations for aged RV roofs

If you have an older RV with some signs of wear and tear, like delamination or faded finishes on the roof, Kool Seal Tundra offers a great solution to restore its appearance and functionality. Here’s how it can help:

Disguising delamination on the front and rear caps

Delamination, where the outer layers of the roof separate, is a common issue with older RVs. Kool Seal Tundra can be used to cover up delamination on the front and rear caps. That gives the RV a smooth, uniform look that hides these imperfections. It can improve the overall aesthetic of your RV, making it look newer and well-maintained.

Fixing the side radius

Many RVs develop issues with the side radius, which can become cracked or worn over time. The thick coating of Kool Seal Tundra will fill in gaps and smooth out rough surfaces, preventing further damage and giving the roof a more consistent, polished finish.

Restore and protect

Applying Kool Seal Tundra can help restore the structural integrity of an older roof, providing a new layer of defense against leaks and water intrusion. This is particularly important if your RV has been exposed to the elements for years, as it can seal small cracks and prevent them from turning into major issues.

Step-by-step process for applying Kool Seal Tundra

Clean the roof

Thoroughly clean the roof of your RV to remove dirt, debris, and old sealants. Use a roof cleaner designed for RVs to ensure that the surface is free of contaminants before applying the coating.

Inspect the roof

Look for any significant damage like cracks, holes, or delamination. If necessary, patch up larger cracks or areas of damage before applying the roof coating.

Apply the Kool Seal Tundra

Using a paint roller or brush, apply the Kool Seal Tundra in even, overlapping layers. Make sure to cover the entire roof, focusing on seams, edges, and areas that are prone to leaks.

Let It dry

Allow the first coat to dry fully (typically 24 hours), then apply a second coat for enhanced protection and durability.

Inspect for even coverage

After the second coat has dried, check for any missed spots or areas that need touch-ups. You want to ensure an even, protective coating across the entire roof.

Final thoughts

Kool Seal Tundra is a game-changer for RV roof maintenance. Not only does it provide long-lasting protection, but it also restores the appearance of your RV roof, especially for older models with visible damage like delamination or worn edges. If you’re looking for an affordable way to extend the life of your RV and keep it looking great, Kool Seal Tundra is an excellent investment.

Unless this product is put on the minute the RV leaves the factory I would question any DIY product and typical RV owner to find and address water rot under the roof of an RV more than a couple of years old. What I have seen is that professional roof replacement companies find damage and rot under the roof coverings that the RV owner never knew about until they peeled back the original roof. Rolling product over original roofs is asking for problems down the road in my opinion.

Is there any difference as to what type of roof you have such as a rubber TPO??

Basically this product can be applied to all RV roof surfaces. TPO is the new texture surface that most manufacturers use. You can see Dicor or Alpha roof website for additional information.

Dustin, thanks for all your helpful hints in this newsletter. Can you recommend a specific brand of roof cleaner to use prior to the new coating?
Also – respectfully wondering if you get some financial benefits for promoting this Kool Seal Tundra?
