Good news about gas prices as summer travel season closes

The summer driving season has one month to go, and so far, so good for drivers filling up their tanks, reports AAA. This past week, the national average for a gallon of regular dropped two cents to $3.14. July comes to an end with a monthly average of $3.15, the same as it was in July 2021, the last time summer gas prices were this low.

Crude oil prices have gone up slightly, as gas demand has also risen, but not enough to drive up prices at the pump.

• Thursday’s National Average: $3.147
• One Week Ago: $3.162
• One Month Ago: $3.185
• One Year Ago: $3.491

According to new data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA), gasoline demand increased from 8.96 million b/d last week to 9.15. Total domestic gasoline supply decreased from 231.1 million barrels to 228.4. Gasoline production increased last week, averaging 10 million barrels per day.

Paid $4.99 for diesel at Safeway yesterday in Sequim WA. Thank you Liberals in Olympia. And your budget deficit passed this year is still 10 to 16 billion over the next four years 🙁

Just wait until all the new tariff regulations go into affect. Forcing other countries to buy oil and NG from the U.S. instead of Russia. The cost of oil and natural gas to produced here will skyrocket.

They forgot to add Pa to the most expensive gasoline markets. A gas station by my house went from $3.05 gallon to $3.10 to $3.12 two days later. A truck stop in Stroudsburg Pa had gas Tuesday for $2.95 a gallon and went to $3.25 a gallon Friday. Tue I filled up at a Turkey Hill gas station for $2.83 9/10 a gallon. Never seen a Turkey Hill gas station with gas so cheap. Normally, their higher than other gas stations.
