Have you had your RV’s brakes checked recently? We’ll bet the owner of an older motorhome that was involved in a three-vehicle accident Sunday morning when its brakes failed wishes he had.
At 11:16 a.m., emergency services responded to the collision on Hillside Drive, just north of Notre Dame Drive, in Kamloops, British Columbia. Police say that according to initial information from witnesses, the motorhome was traveling down Hillside Drive when its brakes failed. It was unable to stop and went through two intersections, striking two smaller vehicles, causing one vehicle to flip on its side.
Injuries were suffered by some of the vehicle occupants and they were taken to a local medical facility for treatment.
The investigation into the mechanical condition of the motorhome is ongoing.
With hydraulic brakes change the brake fluid at least every 6 years.
