NFL head coach moving into an RV

Just a few weeks ago, University of Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh was celebrating his team’s victory over the University of Washington Huskies in the national championship game.

Shortly thereafter it was rumored that he might be moving to the pros as head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers. Shortly thereafter, the rumor was confirmed as true. But unlike most coaches in a similar position he didn’t start looking for a home near his new team. Instead, he said in a press conference Thursday that he plans to drive his motorhome to L.A. and live in it for awhile.

“I want to drive my RV out and go to a trailer park down by the water or by Disneyland, the two that I’ve researched that are close to the facility,” Harbaugh said during his first press conference last Thursday. “I want to Jim Rockford it for the next couple months until we move to the new facility.”

We won’t announce the park he chooses, but if you live near the Chargers new facility in El Segundo, keep your eye out.

Thank you, Russ and Tina! 🙂 Well, this bit of news certainly piqued my interet. 🤔 My immediate mission is to discover what brand and model of RV he has. I didn’t like him at all, but, knowing now that he is an RVer, I’m warming to him. Plus, I’ve always had an affection for the Chargers of the 1960s who wore the coolest IM(not so)HO uniforms in the AFL and all of pro football. 🙂

You’re welcome, Neal. Sometimes it just takes me a bit to notice a comment (like with a link) is waiting to be approved. I get so focused on whatever I’m proofing that I don’t see the little number change. Plus, it doesn’t show up unless I save whatever I’m working on, then it refreshes the number to show there’s something awaiting moderation. But I’ll find it eventually.😉 Have a good night. 😀 –Diane

Big fan of all the retro uniforms.

Nope, not a Harbaugh fan at all, RV or not. Not even when he QB’d the team that used to be here….had season tickets to the Charger’s games for 40 years prior to the greedy ownership family deciding to pull out and move them up to LA LA Land . They deserve each other…and I agree with Neal on the earlier uniforms, very cool !!

So you became a season-ticket holder in the days of Dan Fouts, et.al., Bill? Those teams could score as well as (better than?) the Chargers under Sid Gilman (and various quarterbacks, e.g., Rote, Kemp, and Hadl).

Season before Fouts. The whole of the Coryall years etc before the Spanos family bought the team. Even went to Miami to see them in the Super Bowl..good times!

I’ll admit it I did have withdrawal simp tons for the first year, after that NFL can go fly a kite. My brother told me last week they’re not coddling disrespectful players anymore, great, but to late for me, they should’ve grown their gonads sooner, I’m gone.

Smart. If it doesn’t work out, he can just drive off.

If I’m at a location he is at and I see him I’d say hi and talk if he wishes. Will not seek him out.
