Do you enjoy shopping for (your) clothes?

Some people love to shop for clothes (and we mean looooove to shop…), while to others it feels like pulling teeth! Some people shop online, in-store, both… wherever they can!

Do you enjoy shopping for (your) clothes? If not for yourself, do you enjoy shopping for clothes for your partner or other people? Feel free to answer those questions in the comments below the poll. Thanks!

I order on line and did with JC Penney last summer I guessed at my size and tried everything on at home. What I did not like I folded and put in a pile and returned it. If I saw the item on a rack then I pick up the one size larger and buy it. Otherwise I find standing in line and waiting just totally annoys me. My mother? Loved shopping. I guess she had nothing better to do with her time.

My wife just told me I do enjoy shopping for clothes. Only a fool would disagree.

I discovered “fishermen’s shirts” over twenty years ago and haven’t bought any other type of shirt since (I have NOT gone fishing in over 40 years). About five years ago, I discovered Wrangler Riggs Work Wear cargo pants and have not bought any other type of pants since. The fishing shirts are comfortable, easy to care for and feature two large pockets each with a flap closure held shut by Velcro (readers in one pocket; phone in the other). The pants are very HEAVY DUTY and give YEARS of comfortable service (“regular” Wrangler Cargo Pants fall apart in less than six months). They are also easy to care for.

jeans, walking shirts, t-shirts…how tough could that possibly be.?! when i retired i kept a tie, sport coat, dress slacks, dress shirt and shoes for weddings and funerals. everything else went to Goodwill. and i don’t “shop”…i buy. i go to the same store and know where they keep the stuff i use.

Order online. Try on in privacy of own home and no glaring fluorescent lights. Return what doesn’t fit or I don’t like by mail. All the major department stores & Amazon (use them rarely) have great return policies. Macy’s & Kohl’s have great discounts & sales.

My idea of shopping is go in find what I want first then look around the store to see if I need anything else then leave.

As a full-timer, I buy almost 100% of my clothes online. I’m rarely in a place that has the type of stores I like to buy from.
Buying online can be a hassle, especially if returns are involved.

At the time I responded to the poll 70% said they do not like shopping for clothes.

Sign of the times as we have become much more casual in what is acceptable to wear and as such also far more casual in what is considered acceptable behavior.

All are the signs of a once great society past their peak and on the DOWNSLIDE!

I wore a suit and tie to work for almost 45 years and enjoyed looking professional. I enjoyed shopping for my own clothes at nice stores and spent a lot of money doing so. I was known as one of the best dressed men in town and took pride in my appearance. I’m glad I retired some years ago since I think the way the majority of people dress now days is way too casual, guess I’m just showing my age.

I like to go to stores and browse (I’m a woman by the way) but I hate clothes shopping. I can easily spend a couple hours browsing a clothing store but if I go there specifically to try to find something to wear, well that I do not enjoy. Browsing stores is my way to recharge. Some people get in their cars and drive, others hide with a book, others will go fishing, and this is how they recharge and they get mentally ready for another week, for me, it’s browsing stores, all by myself!

I know what I want before going to the store. I normally buy the same brand of clothing, especially things like jeans and T shirts or casual shirts. Eliminates trying them on.
I don’t need to make a fashion statement, I just want to be comfortable.
Very seldom purchase clothing online.

I hate shopping! When I go into a store I know what I’m going for and that’s what I get and leave. DW on the other hand is a shop’o’holic, she goes into a store with her list and will spend over 2 1/2 hours shopping and come out with her 2-3 bags of what she went in to get. Meanwhile me and our dog are waiting in the truck, even though clothes were not on her shopping list as we have so many clothes we have been giving away or donating clothes for the last 4 months, she will be in the ladies department trying on 3-5 different outfits. She drives me crazy, she’s afraid to drive in this FL traffic so I’m forced to take her shopping.

I go to the Duluth Trading Store and purchase top quality casual clothing. I believe that it will out last me.

I just go to the Dickies WEB Site and order Green 874 pants and shirt. As you can guess I am not into fashion and I don’t care what anyone thinks about my looks. I am 72 and past that phase in my life

The worse thing about clothes shopping is the quality of clothing seems to have declined a lot in recent years.

While it’s not the worst thing for me, I couldn’t agree with you more in terms of the quality in clothing today!

Lower quality should not be a surprise to anyone.

We want it NOW and We want it CHEAP!

Rarely if EVER do the words Quality and Cheap go together!

No surprise here!

Well, if you shop for clothes at WalMart that’s true, but the good quality stuff is still mostly out there. You’re just gonna pay a lot for it.

Woman here and I loathe clothes shopping…unless it’s a thrift store. That’s fun.

The faster I can get in and out of a clothing store the better
