What will you have for breakfast today?

Most of our readers read this newsletter first thing in the morning (we know this from past polls). So if that’s the case, we think there’s a good chance you’re thinking about breakfast right now. Whether you’ve had it already or not, breakfast is the best part of the morning, don’t you agree?

This morning, what will you have for breakfast? Will it be some hard-boiled eggs? Cereal or oatmeal? Toast? A smoothie? Or will you have eggs, toast and a smoothie? This poll is a little different—you can vote up to three times if you’re having (or had) more than one of these options.

After you vote, please leave a comment and tell us what you’re having for breakfast. Come on, make us hungry!

Are we grasping at straws to come up with a poll topic now? I’m just curious. Is this meaningful to RVers? Might as well ask “what color socks are you wearing today? Does anybody REALLY care? Sorry for my comment, but I do not see the point of a question about what I am having for breakfast.

Even though the poll may not relate to RVs, they are interesting as general
Comments on everyday life.

Carl, FYI, RVers are people. People eat breakfast. Therefore, RVers eat breakfast. In other words, this question pertains to RVers. Does everything have to have a point, Carl? Can’t we just do something for fun? If you don’t like something, can’t you just avoid it rather than slamming us? Personally, I think it’s fun to hear what other people have for breakfast, especially since I have the same ol’ bowl of Fiber One (“cardboard,” my dad used to call it) with a banana and blueberries every day. So I’m living vicariously reading these (and saving calories and time in the process!). Have a good day. And I hope you get up on the right side of the bed tomorrow. 🙂 –Diane at RVtravel.com

Carl, I’d like to know. I’m having corned beef hash and a poached egg with a glass of mango juice. You’re welcome to join me.

I’m allergic to mangos, plus hen eggs. So far no reaction to duck, goose, quail or fish eggs.

We generally have oatmeal and a soft boiled egg for breakfast. Sometimes I’ll make an omelette for us to split but most days it’s the oatmeal and egg.

On the road, a frozen TV style breakfast. Filling, fast and back down the highway of life. Only prepare something if we are sitting for a longer time.

Breakfast varies everyday. Sometimes it’s frozen breakfast sandwich, toaster waffles, a couple pieces of toast with PBJ.
On weekends, an omelet or freshly made pancakes. Left over pancakes go into the freezer. I can quickly microwave them for a quick morning meal.

We mix it up, cereal, English muffins, breakfast sandwiches, etc. Today I made bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches on wheat toast.

How is this to start your day? Calf liver cooked in buttermilk! Just kidding. Almost every day I have 2 scrambled eggs, tomato and an avocado. Occasionally some toast.

Sandi Pearson

Today was Avocado Toast using 12 grain bread. We switch it up daily, but a favorite is the breakfast pizza from wally world. Makes 8 servings which we freeze 6 after the first bake and enjoy reheated on days we travel or have an early schedule.

That’s a tasty looking picture of all those breakfast choices but I normally may have dinner left overs or something else. Today I may have some enchiladas.

Today? No sugar, No salt added full grain cereal, banana with skim milk and greek yogurt. But that is only roughly 2/3 of my breakfasts. When I go for a higher protein, higher fat, higher salt breakfast, I usually only snack for lunch.

Charlie Sullivan

Usually chocolate protein bars that I make myself. That way I’m not getting all the extra sugar that is in store bought protein bars. We will also have steel cut oatmeal and sourdough toast with grass fed butter. Always with coffee.

Bagel with Nova Lox, cream cheese and tomato (left off the onions and capers). Nova Lox is cold smoked salmon. Plain Lox is salt cured and maybe cold smoked. If you have never had this and want to try it Einstein Bros. Bagel shops have it on their menu.

2 donuts a day for the last 50 years. Dr tells me to keep on keeping on. Zero health problems. When we get our destination I go on Yelp and find the local donut shop. 84 this year. Keep on trucking

Varies every day, today was homemade egg McMuffin,
sometimes any kind of leftovers, sometimes omelets, or pancakes, all with either bacon, sausage or ham. Except leftovers, then it could be anything.

A Nature Valley granola protein bar, same as most mornings, and two cups of coffee. The days we travel, I skip the coffee to have one less thing to put away . 🙂

Today it was cold left-over pizza. Not my regular breakfast but had it left over from a post-cross-country ski outing on Sunday. Not everyone’s choice but I like it on occasion.

I’m not sure if today’s breakfast was yesterday or tomorrow? I DIDN’T SEE COFFEE LISTED! Did I miss something? I DIDN’T SEE COFFEE LISTED ! and OTHER is not COFFEE.

Maybe it wasn’t listed because lots of people have coffee with their breakfast but not for breakfast. And I didn’t notice that it wasn’t included on the list because I can’t stand coffee.🙄 Now go have your coffee, Kelly, and get your blood pressure back down before you end up back in the hospital. Have a good night.🤗 –Mom aka Diane

I believe it. You in there flirting with all the female doctors, nurses, etc. I heard all about that.😉 Not to mention your contagious sense of humor. Oh…maybe “contagious” isn’t the proper word to use in that particular setting. Anyway, it sounds like you have your BP back under control since your previous comment. Good job, son…er…Kelly. Take care. 🤗 –Mom

I read your “recipe” for your hot chocolate, Jouce. Yum! I could go for that, except putting the vitamins in there. Regarding coffee, I don’t like the taste (even mocha-flavored candy, etc.), but I used to like the smell of fresh ground coffee in the store. It reminded me of 70+ years ago when I’d occasionally go grocery shopping with my grandma. My parents never drank coffee, although their parents did. And my two sisters drink/drank coffee, but I never got used to the flavor. When I was growing up my uncle had a dairy farm, and milked the cows manually (before it was automated). He would squirt fresh milk into our mouth (he was a very good aim!). Unfortunately, it was always “vanilla,” never chocolate. Have a good night. 😀 –Diane

🤣 Good morning, Grumpy. I actually do have some English in me, along with (mostly) Swedish and Danish, and Irish, Scotch, German, and who-knows-what-else. I’m a mongrel, I guess. Nope, I even almost gag on mocha-flavored chocolates, etc. I’m just weird. Have a great day! 😀 –Diane

Instant Breakfast and put a Vanilla package in my Real, not 2% Chocolate milk, heated.
I add my Multi-vitamin pills, and bottoms up!
If I ate a big meal I’d be one of those taking up two seats. Somehow getting a little older, no more snow-water skiing-dirt bike riding etc. to burn off those pounds.

Lucky my parents served us hominy@ weekend breakfasts Many people have never tried it. Good in Pozole I tend to eat hot in winter cold in summer. Allergies complicate so much Allergic to chicken eggs & fresh cow milk. Now & then blow $13 on duck eggs Eating hardboiled hen egg on 220 mile RT to work almost killed me, Dr finally sent me to allergist. Yup allergic to cow milk, hen eggs, chocolate, mango, 30 kinds of pollen, etc.
