During your RV travels, do you enjoy visiting “haunted” or just plain spooky locations? These could be old cemeteries, old, haunted mansions, abandoned mental institutions, old jails/prisons, or anything else along those lines.
If you do enjoy visiting those kinds of places, do you seek them out on your travels, or do you only visit them if you come across them along your route or at your destination?
There are many places around the U.S. (and world!) that claim to be “haunted.” Have you ever visited a haunted location and had a ghostly or creepy experience?
If you’ve never thought about visiting a “haunted” location, we suggest you give it a try. Even if you don’t “believe” in ghosts, you’ll learn an interesting history about the specific place and/or location. If you enjoy learning about local histories, we bet you’ll love it.

Only haunted place I ever recall seeing was at Disneyland and DisneyWorld.
We enjoy walking through old cemeteries. They may not be spooky, but are very interesting, and who knows if they are haunted.
The Salem MA cemetery is one of them.
Also, the Gettysburg National Cemetery and battlefield. Especially near sunset.
Let me rephrase “haunted or spooky” to old structures with interesting architecture and you have it dead on (pun intended).
No interest whatsoever.
Thank you, RV Travel! 🙂 Generally, no. However, in that we live in the “land of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA)” there are some (many?) cemetaries of former communities that disappeared or were relocated when an area was flooded by the construction of a TVA dam. The disconnection of the cemetary from the community tends to “freeze” the former in time. We have wandered through such cemetaries to get a limited taste of the people who once lived nearby. Haunted stuff holds no appeal, but places and buildings left behind are extremely interesting. Thanks again and SAFE travels! 🙂
Haunted locations intrigue me and I will visit but my wife, not so much.
Some consider ghost towns and abandoned mines “spooky” but I consider them intriguing. We seek out such locations not because I remotely believe in paranormal activity but for their historical value. Walmart after midnight on the other hand…..
Cemeteries are interesting – especially those associated with old 1800 military forts which ND had a few of. The stones usually tell a story of how the person died – many from disease, saloon gun fights and even military combat! Some unknowns, some with quirky comments. Many old civilian type cemeteries have Civil War headstones – there is even one gravesite in Harwood, ND – a long way north.
Marked yes but needed “never have but I think I’d like it.”
I said no which is true. I will visit cemeteries, especially historical ones, but I don’t find them spooky. Back in the 70s, cemeteries were considered good places to boondock overnight when traveling but now cemeteries are posted with, “No visitors after dark” signs. That’s , probably due to vandalism.
