Do you call your spouse or significant other “Honey”? A fun survey by The Black Tux breaks down the most popular pet names (like “Babe,” “Honey” or “Dear”) in each state. According to the 5,000 responses they got, the most popular pet name across the U.S. is “Babe” followed by “Honey.” You can see the full list broken down by geographic location here. It’s fun!
If you don’t call them “Honey,” what do you call them? Tell us in the comments after you vote. Don’t be embarrassed!

I always call my wife “Babe”.
Agree. Honey is something I put on PB Sandwiches or in tea.
Honey, sometimes, but mostly it’s “Yes dear”….Lol
Only when I truly want to catch her attention.
Maybe, Must be so seldom We can’t remember. There is a vague memory of it somewhere in the back of our minds.
I call my spouse by his name, sweetheart or dear.
Most times I call wifey “lovie”.
No. Spouse and I call each other by our names.
I have an aunt who always referred/refers to my late uncle as Honey. I can’t recall her ever calling him by his name (which I find to be annoying).
I’ve always called her “Beauty”.
We call each other by our names, although sometimes I’ve been called *******when out of line
Thank you, RV Travel! 🙂 Yes, DW and I call each other “honey” frequently. My parents did similarly. My maternal grandparents used “buddy,” instead. DW cannot recall a particular word her parents use. Another couple, with whom we are very close (DW donated one of her kidneys to the husband), call each other “sweetie.” With us and in some situations, failure to preface or end a remark with “honey” implies anger or criticism. Thanks again, have a great day, safe travels, and safe stays! 🙂

I am a GRITS…girl raised in the south and my husband is from Detroit. Married 32 years. While we were dating he said he was southern since he had lived in the south for 10 years. I broke it to him that he will never be southern, but I call him bubba or sugar to make him feel better ❤️
I was born in Baltimore where everyone is called, “Hon”
Not only do I not, I hate people calling me hon, honey.
California?
They do that in Maryland.
edit. Didn’t see the earlier post. This is why I want an oldest post first option.
We call each other by our names – when we can remember them – or it is “Honey”, or maybe “hey, what’s your name?”
My parents always called each other honey or darling.
My wife’s Canadian dad called her mother “old girl” and she called him by first name. (YWG).
Not only do I call my DW, Honey, I have called her honey for more than 61 years. I call her honey 95% of the time and the other 5% I call her LOML (love of my life. I have always call my daughters and granddaughter honey. All these women in my life have been and are so sweet to me, how could I call them anything else?
Every day, I say Good morning Hunny Bunny.
I call her, honey, sweetie, babe, mom, skeezeecs. Sometimes my brain calls her our daughter’s or our dog’s name, or I call out, ‘where are you?’ – then she answers, “I’m here” – which tells me a lot! She calls me, “lunch”, “dinner”, or, “time to take your pills”. I haven’t had a name in a long time. My favorite, however, is when my adult daughter still calls me “daddy”.
Aww, that’s so sweet, Kelly. Have a great day. 😀 –Diane
Yep; you are still “The Dad” & it does not get any better!!
Bill, you are SO right. NOTHING in this world makes me feel better.
Can’t repeat what she calls me!
He’s Freddie and I’m Hezzie.
Nope. We use our names unless an expletive is more fitting for the situation….
Usually it’s Dear or Sweetie… 😉
I saw a cartoon the other day, he called her honey ,.. because 20 years ago he forgot her name and doesn’t want to ,,,,,,….her off.
