Which of these fast-food chain restaurants is your favorite?

Being an RVer means you do a lot of driving. And driving for so long makes you hungry. Reallllllly hungry. Sure, you probably love a home-cooked meal just as much as the next person, and also a nice steak or grilled piece of salmon from a nice sit-down restaurant also as much as that person, but sometimes fast food is your only, or the quickest, option.

If you had to select just one (yes, just one!) chain fast food restaurant from the choices below, which one would you choose? Say they were all available up ahead at the next exit, which direction would you steer the wheels?

Would you go straight to McDonald’s? Burger King? Taco Bell? Subway? KFC? Panda Express?

And yes, we know we didn’t list every fast food option here. We just went with the biggest ones. But yes, the list could have been very, very long!

Even if you don’t eat fast food often, you still probably have a favorite. So come on, tell us!

Oh, shoot, now we’re hungry…

Two Burger King options? Freudian slip?

Why is Burger King listed twice? You trying to split the vote?

I’m not a fast food person. I don’t really like dining at chain restaurants which is why RVing is so much fun – so many great one-off restaurants out there. But having said that I do enjoy a Subway sandwich or Domino’s pizza from time to time.

How about Chik fil a?

I chose Arby’s from the listed options, BUT Culver’s is my go to fast food restaurant. Their Senior (children’s meals), are a real bargain. For less than $8 at most locations, you get a “real” hamburger/cheeseburger (or two chicken strips), fries, a drink, and a scoop of frozen yogurt, AND with their bag coupons (don’t throw the bag away without removing the coupon), your eleventh meal is FREE!
I believe they’re still primarily an upper Midwest chain, but expanding fast!
And Yes, this is a shameless promotion of a Wisconsin based, family owned company.

Would also choose Culvers if available. I am from WI also.

My favorite isn’t on your list…. Chick-fil-A !!!

My favorite, Chick-fil-A, is not listed. My 2nd favorite, Whataburger, is also not listed (understandable since it is somewhat regional). Not only do I like Chick-fil-A’s food way more than any of the others, they have amazing customer service. One time I stopped at one in MO with the trailer in tow. This particular morning had pretty heavy rainfall. I pulled into the parking lot, and before I could even get stopped good, an employee ran out to me in the rain and took my order. Then, he brought it out to me. I didn’t even have to get out of the truck. Amazing!

Mickey D’S fries are the best outta the whole list. Arby’s roast beef sandwiches are great!

They were far superior when they were fried in beef/animal tallow. Today they taste like oil, imo.

And they actually were a lot healthier fried in tallow!

Left off the most popular chain in the US, Chick-Fil-A. Although, I read it has been supplanted by Del Taco, which isn’t even nationwide.

In & Out Burger is on top. Fair priced, quality food, and friendly folks.

Burger King is on the bottom. Outrageous prices, small portions, and very dirty.

In western US only…..In-N-Out Burger for sure then closely followed by Chick-fil-A nationally!!!!

Subway gives a chance to eat something other than just carbs & fats with a side of protein. But is probably our last choice if our dining site is the front seats of our tow vehicle.

I chose Dairy Queen. Not really fast food since everything is made at the time of order, not sitting in bin waiting to be assembled.
Their hamburgers actually taste like a hamburger. The chicken strips are nice and crunchy, not soggy.

Was just reading a Fox News article last night. Chick-fil-A is no longer #1. Now the new number one is DelTaco. Yuck

I pick none of the above. We decided many years ago that neither of us really cared for “fast food.” Since then we travel with healthier snacks in the cab (to curb the hungrys) and l buy and stock a good meal variety ( makes a good excuse to stop at garden stands and farmers markets). I freeze as many basic meals as our freezer allows. Then we have the time to check out local “special” places to eat and can ignore the chains. We definitely do not help fast food places survive

My favorite not listed. Jack in the Box. Always liked them. I’d much rather stop at a mom and pop diner to have breakfast or lunch. Dunkins would be my other choice if I’m grabbing something on the fly

We grab an in and out in the west and Midwest we are all about White Castle. However we recently spent over 2 months in Europe where the McDonalds are 1000% better than in US. Many have a great Barista service and the breakfast choices are super healthy particularly in Poland.

Culvers is the best, but not sure if they are outside the midwest. For this survey I marked Dairy Queen. We like their “Meal Deal.”

But, much depends on what we are hungry for. We really like Subway, and if we want roast beef it’s Arbys. We never “always” just go to one brand.

While not for food, I picked Dairy Queen for the occasional ice cream cone. We do not frequent fast food restaurants but on the east coast and south, do go to WAWA. Made to order food, fast, tasty, fresh, healthy choices and fair prices. Some do have picnic tables outside but no indoor dining.

Culvers in the mid-west or In-N-Out west coast. Chick-Fil-A is always too busy.

Subway was good until they started cutting their bread different and making the sandwiches upside down.
I voted for Arby’s, I worked there for a few years and still like the food which I think says something.

Drew

Wendy’s has the frosty- which is a great tasting ice cream treat and their burgers are juicy and tasty as well. The fries are just mediocre though.

I picked one from this list, but our favorite is Whataburger. I know it’s not all over the U. S. so that would be why it’s not on this list I presume.

Hard to pick (like everyone else said) I like Dairy Queen for my ice cream fix; Jack in the Box if I want to be bad and have a breakfast McMuffin; but chose KFC if I’m going to have a quick bite and trying not to eat to many carbs! 😉

Chick fil a!

That was tough, because it really depends on what I feel like eating. If I want a salad, then it is Wendy’s. If I want curly fries – Arbys, something a bit spicier Taco Bell, but McD is usually sufficient when we are on the road or at home.

Joseph Eafrati

Thank you, RV Travel! 🙂 My one was Subway. In reality, I would rotate through Subway, Taco Bell, Burger King, and Dairy Queen. On 9/11, I drove my running buddy home after we’d both been sent home, passing the smoking Pentagon as we left DC. After we reached his house, we changed into running gear and did his favorite 8-miler. After changing back, I drove home, stopping at Dairy Queen for a large vanilla cone to enjoy on the drive home. I guess I should have voted for DQ, huh? Thanks again, have a great day, safe travels, and safe stays! 🙂

Depends on what I want to eat. Panda for oriental, Taco Bell for Mexican. And any of the burger places if I want a burger.

steve

Arbys since beef is best. They were top three I believe.

I choose none of the above, but it wasn’t offered. Our favorite is Chick-fil-A. There are a whole lot of others in the US such as 5 guys, in-n-out burger, and even Buc-ees. (2nd favorite)

Panda’s shrimp fried rice with veggie egg rolls 😋😋
