What are your two major sources of news?

When you’re on the road, staying informed can look a little different from the usual routine. Some RVers like to listen to the radio or a news podcast while driving, while others wait until they’re parked for the night to watch the evening news. If a strong signal is available, streaming news on a tablet or laptop can also be a convenient option.

Many people turn to social media for quick updates, checking headlines between stops or while enjoying a quiet morning at the campsite. While it’s an easy way to stay connected, some RVers prefer dedicated news websites or apps for a more in-depth look at current events.

For those who enjoy a more traditional approach, printed newspapers are still a favorite. Whether it’s a local paper from a nearby town or a national edition picked up along the way, reading the news in print can be a relaxing way to start the day.

Some RVers mix and match their news sources, depending on where they are and what’s available. A morning radio update might be the go-to on travel days, while a campground with good Wi-Fi makes it easy to catch up with video news or online articles. No matter the method, staying informed is an important part of life on the road.

We’re sure you get your news from multiple sources on this list, but what are the two major sources you generally use? Please select two options in the poll below.

Remember, while we welcome your thoughts below, we do not welcome political comments. Any political comments will be deleted. We are not asking you WHERE specifically you get your news. We do not care. Do not leave a comment. Thank you for understanding and respecting.

It’s difficult to use the term ‘news’ anymore; It’s all opinions and editorials, but maybe that’s what sells advertising. Anyway, thank you very much for your statement about deleting political comments. It’s not needed here.

Not all is opinion or editorials, and some sources tend to pick and choose and blend facts with such content. I am always a healthy skeptic and look at several sources – some that offer opinions I agree with and some that offer opinions I disagree with. Truly the only ones I try to ignore are extremist in any direction.

Other than the local or national network televised news, I rely on emails from services that have online direct news to which I subscribe. Some of the online sources also have print or live televised news.

MSM has abandoned reporting accurate news. Unable to believe most stories. Everything has a decided slant.

I don’t watch network “news” because it’s not designed to inform but control what you think. I miss news anchors like Walter Cronkite who simply reported the news without voice fluctuation or body language designed to invoke a certain reaction. I also don’t want some so-called “expert” trying to tell us what it means. I have a brain and know how to use it.

Very touchy subject, since this Nation is deeply divided politically. So called ‘news’ sources are as politically divided. I avoid all televised news. I just open my eyes and judge an issue based on 78 years of real life experiences and leave emotion out of the equation. I was a Detective for 35 years and know BS when I hear or read it.

I read the news online from five different sources and then form my own opinion about the issue.

Our daily local newspaper for local news and Fox News for national/intl news.

It is getting harder and harder with billionaires buying news sources and local papers disappearing and some news sources stating they are for entertainment only, after a lawsuit but yet acting as a news source still.
I think the best source is from multiple sources. I especially like when I can see the person in the news stating fact with their own footage. then you gotta rule out AI too….UGH

I watch our CBC (Canada) in the evening, but still use local and/or national newspapers. There is nothing better than sitting back with a newspaper and a cup of coffee.

One source not mentioned, which is what I most rely on, are sites for newspapers, including e-editions, e.g. Chicago Tribune, Washington Post, etc. That way I can read a facsimile of a printed newspaper on my computer or tablet without the hassle of the newsprint.

MSM is all propaganda. I read MULTIPLE sources online, including foreign. Make up my own mind.

I try not to watch news programs any more. They used to report the news. And then it was up to you to decide what you heard or saw. Now they tell you what it is you saw.
